Wedding Videographers all have their own unique sense of style. So you need to do you your research!

Tip 1: Figure out which wedding video style is best for you. If you didn’t even realize there were different styles of wedding videos, take a second to read up on the different wedding video styles here.

Tip 2: Once you find your wedding style, you need to find the videographer who does that style best. There are tons of wedding reels, teasers, and trailers all over the internet. Take the time to sit and watch them, which leads me to my next tip…

Tip 3: As you watch different wedding video samples, you should be able to picture yourself being in front of that lens. As you watch that bride and groom exchange their vows and have their first dance, as the Best Man tells embarrassing drunken stories about the groom, and the Maid of Honor talks about how giddy Bride was meeting Groom…you should be able to picture you and your spouse in that video.

Tip 4: After watching tons of videos from tons of different people, you will finally find one that strikes you. You should feel in your gut that this is the person you want to film your wedding video.

Tip 5: Email or call them and have a conversation. Go over some basic details of your self, your wedding, and then ask about them. Just see how the conversation flows—you don’t have to be best friends with your videographer, but you do need to click in order for you to be relaxed and comfortable on your wedding day!
